Project Lead
YLab is seeking two Project Leads with extensive experience in co-design, human-centred design or consulting projects, balancing timelines, budgets, project quality and social impact. We currently have one permanent position available, and one Parental Leave cover position through to May 2027.

Young Board and Committee positions
YLab is seeking volunteers to oversee our governance, including Young Board members, Young Co-Chair, Young Finance, Audit and Risk (FAR) Committee member and Company Secretary. All roles will apply their diverse experiences to ensure YLab’s vision is realised with transparent frameworks, robust strategic planning, and sound financial oversight.

Youth Advisory Council Member | Australia Post
Australia Post is looking to engage a Youth Advisory Council (YAC) to amplify the voices of young Australians within their organisation. YLab is currently recruiting young people aged 18–25 to join their advisory council. Members of the YAC will be given an honorarium of $150 for each meeting (3hrs long). The commitment is 12 months and the YAC will meet every quarter throughout the year.

Associate Journalist | Good News west
YLab is looking for emerging journalists and multimedia storytellers from Melbourne’s Western Suburbs to join Good News West! This project is a community storytelling program that will enable young people to share positive stories across the cities of Melton, Wyndham, Maribyrnong, and Brimbank throughout 2026.
