Michael is passionate about empowering young people through education, mentoring and community volunteering.
Michael joined YLab in 2016 as an Associate to gain experience in facilitation, policy development and consulting. As an associate, Michael has been involved in projects ranging from implementing an education program in an alternative school setting to combating youth unemployment at a local government level. Since 2017, Michael has been the CEO of a small non-for-profit called Community Health Advancement and Student Engagement (CHASE), which works to improve health literacy in disadvantaged high school students across Melbourne's western suburbs. Michael has extensive experience in program development, management and governance.
Michael completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Politics and Criminology in 2016 at the University of Melbourne. In 2018, Michael completed an Honours year focusing on social equity in Australian education policy.
