Meleika Gesa-Fatafehi is a Black and Tongan storyteller with a passion of decolonising spaces and ways of learning. They descend from the Zagareb and Dauareb Tribes of Mer (Murray) Island. With a background in education, criminology and sociology, Meleika is currently working with young people, letting them know that they are capable of all things and that they are never alone. Their work has been published in Radio NZ, NerdyPoC, Djed Press, The Big Issue, Overland and Endless Yarning. She's also kind of funny and has an unexplainable fear of ladders.
