Hosna Khaliqy has a heart as great as her smile. After receiving her Double Degree Bachelor of Design in Landscape Architecture and Urban and Regional Planning the 26-year-old has gone on to co-found (F.A.C.E M.E) a neighbourhood support consultancy assisting migrants from the global south. Hosna’s passion for helping those in need is inspired by her inner desire to make things right.
Hailing from Afghanistan, she knows too well the challenges and obstacles young people face coming from areas of conflict to start a new life in Australia. Speaking the Dari dialect of Farsi and putting to use her familiarity with many ethnic customs from her extensive travels overseas, her sensitivity to the disadvantaged and underprivileged has made her highly sought after in community development, community engagement, policy and design.
