Dean Duncan


First Nations

Dean Duncan (he/him) is a proud Aboriginal man of the Kamilaroi people of Moree, NSW. Dean is First Nations Director for YLab, bringing a wealth of knowledge surrounding his people. Most recently, Dean was recognised for his contributions to working across communities nationally with the 2019 National NAIDOC Week Person of The Year award.

An experienced leader with strong business acumen, Dean has extensive experience in both private and public sectors working on both a national and state basis. Dean has qualifications from Australian Catholic University, Western Sydney University, and various other tertiary institutions. He currently sits on Boards and Advisory Groups including the Victorian Mental Health Complaints Commission and Sunbury Aboriginal Corporation.

Dean is also highly involved with sport and is the current President of the National Indigenous Rugby Program, Lloyd McDermott Rugby Development Team Inc, as well as Co-Chair of the First Nations Rugby Committee.
