Asanga Seneviratne


Asanga is passionate about empowering young people to create social change in their own communities and combating 'covert' or 'everyday' racism, and the multitude of issues it creates in mental health and employment.

He is also the co-founder of Project Lantern, a youth-led organisation on a mission to build a global launchpad for youth-led social impact. He brings a number of experiences volunteering, advocating with and working for a number of organisations in different social change eco-systems including the Centre for Multicultural Youth, Global Consulting Group, City of Casey and the World Bank's Ideas for Action initiative.

Asanga holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Economics and Finance from the University of Melbourne and currrently works in economic policy for the Victorian Government.
